Fried Milk Recipe
Ingredients:
Milk Pudding Base:
- 70g (½ cup) cornstarch
- 65g (⅓ cup) sugar
- 600ml (2 ½ cups) milk
For Coating & Frying:
- Cooking oil (for frying)
- 100g (¾ cup) all-purpose flour
- 30g (2 tbsp) sugar
- 120ml (½ cup) water
- 100g (1 cup) breadcrumbs
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Milk Mixture
- In a saucepan, whisk together cornstarch, sugar, and milk until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Pour the mixture into a tray or dish and smooth the surface.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours until firm.
Step 2: Coat the Milk Cubes
- Once firm, cut the chilled milk into small squares or rectangles.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and water to form a batter.
- Dip each milk piece into the batter, then coat with breadcrumbs.
Step 3: Fry & Serve
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the coated milk cubes until golden brown and crispy.
